Pokémon UNITE has announced the end of service for its Switch and mobile versions. Players will no longer be able to log in or participate in battles after the shutdown. Before then, a farewell event and a new library feature will offer ways to collect items and preserve parts of each player’s collection and achievements.

Aeos gem sales and membership renewals have stopped

Aeos gem sales ended at 05:00 UTC on October 27, 2026. Players can still spend gems already in their accounts until service ends.

New UNITE Club subscriptions and automatic renewals also stopped at the same time. Existing members can continue using their benefits until their current membership period expires, so the remaining duration depends on each account’s subscription period.

The farewell event starts on November 12

An update scheduled for 04:00 UTC on November 12, 2026 will introduce the special event. Players will earn Unite coins through log-in rewards and missions for winning ranked matches and matches in other modes. Those coins can then be exchanged for previously released items.

The exchange will include Unite licenses that unlock Pokémon for use in battles, Pokémon Holowear, Trainer clothing and snapshot items. Players earn coins and exchange them for rewards rather than having all previous content automatically unlocked.

Download library data before service ends

The library feature is also planned for November 12. Once it is available, the required data will download during normal play or when the feature is first opened. That first download must be completed before 00:00 UTC on March 23, 2027 to use the library after service ends.

The library will let players view content they own, including Holowear, Unite licenses, clothing and certain achievements. It will also provide access to the Practice Area to view Pokémon moves and Holowear effects. The game’s battles will no longer be available after the shutdown.

Items and records obtained after the first download will be added to the library automatically. Players who want to retain their collections should open the game after the feature arrives and make sure the required download has finished before the deadline.

Keeping the app and its data on the device matters. Library data generally cannot be transferred when changing devices. If the game or its data is deleted or lost after service ends, recovery may not be possible, and support for the feature will no longer be available.
