Seven Seas Entertainment has announced 18 new publishing licenses, first revealed at the company's industry panel at Anime NYC 2026. This round covers nearly every genre in the publisher's catalog: audiobook adaptations, Boys' Love (BL) manga, Girls' Love/yuri (GL) manga, manhwa, and Chinese danmei novels, underscoring the publisher's aggressive diversification strategy.
2. The Headliner: Faraway Wanderers Deluxe Hardcover
The standout announcement is Faraway Wanderers by priest, the wuxia danmei most requested by fans for years, from the same author behind Silent Reading and Guardian (both already available from Seven Seas). The novel will release as a premium deluxe hardcover edition in 2027. Alongside it comes First-Class Lawyer, a sci-fi mystery danmei novel from the author of Copper Coins and Panguan, slated for July 2027.
3. A Strong Wave of New BL/GL Titles
On the Boys' Love front, The Ghost's Nocturne (ANANAS & C.R Jade), a hit BL manhwa about a hedonistic prince of the underworld and the human whose heart he must win over, gets its first English print edition in June 2027. My Lips are Being Targeted by Karin Anzai, a rom-com set in a school of magic where a kiss can boost one's abilities, was also confirmed for the same month. On the Girls' Love side, I Wish it Had Just Been Love by Rui Obata, an emotional story of reuniting with a high school crush, is set for July 2027.
4. Notable Audiobooks And Novels
Seven Seas' Siren audiobook imprint also picked up three new titles: A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO (a prequel to the light novel/manga series of the same name, releasing October 2026), Dinghai Fusheng Records (the hit danmei series previously adapted into a donghua, releasing November 2026), and There's Something Wrong with the Chief, narrated by Zion Jang, also releasing November 2026. Separately, the novel Till the End of the Moon: the source material behind a hit Chinese TV drama, gets its first English release in August 2027.
The rest of the 18 new licenses
According to AniTrendz, besides the titles already covered, the list also includes Scarlet Thirst by Tako Nonoshima (BL, July 2027) and Synchronicity Obsession by Neneko Narazaki (BL, June 2027, set in the Guideverse). On the GL side is The Duke's Daughter Must Seduce the Demon King… But the Demon King's a Girl?! (story by Ringoame Third, art by Akio Kawada, planned for 2027). There is also Enslaved By My Cats by Hasegawa Roku, a full-color cat comic due in July 2027.
Two light novel adaptations stand out: Goetia Shock (June 2027) and Witch and Mercenary, which AniTrendz lists as getting a TV anime in 2027. The The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You season 1 and 2 box set (volumes 1 to 6) arrives in February 2027.
The webtoon lineup includes Whispering Tiger: Jangsanbeom, a full-color horror BL webtoon (July 2027). On the danmei side is Welcome to the Nightmare Game by Bo Mu Bing Lun (March 2027), which shares a universe with The Lucky Egg Game. All of these dates are the publisher's planned schedule and may change.
