Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World is getting a third season, continuing the story of swordsman Iska and Princess Aliceliese, usually called Alice. The October 25 announcement came with promotional artwork by character designer Kaori Yoshikawa. A broadcast date has not been announced.
Original author Kei Sazane says production is ongoing. He promises a larger-scale continuation that explores more of the story’s central mysteries following the upheaval of the second season.

Iska and Rin enter the Empire to rescue Sisbell
Our Last Crusade takes place during a prolonged war between two nations. The Empire relies on science and technology, while Nebulis uses astral powers that its enemy associates with witches. Iska is an Imperial swordsman and Alice is Nebulis’s second princess. Despite fighting on opposite sides, they gradually become drawn to each other’s convictions and ideals.
Season three follows the crisis that takes Princess Sisbell into Imperial territory. To bring her back, Iska and his N07 unit work with Alice’s attendant Rin and enter the Empire. Their mission brings them into contact with research intended to create a new “true witch.”
Alice, meanwhile, remains in Nebulis as acting queen and faces turmoil at home. The new season therefore follows both Iska’s rescue mission and Alice’s position within her country, while uncovering more of the two nations’ history.
The third season’s studios and cast
Studio pallet and SILVER LINK. handle animation production. Yuki Inaba directs and oversees the series scripts, with Kaori Yoshikawa handling character design. The anime adapts Kei Sazane’s light novels, originally illustrated by Ao Nekonabe and published under KADOKAWA’s Fantasia Bunko imprint.
Yusuke Kobayashi voices Iska, Sora Amamiya plays Alice, Yumiri Hanamori voices Rin and Azumi Waki plays Sisbell. These four characters are central to the rescue mission introduced for the new season.
